Birth of a Nutcase

Acrylic on canvas 24x20. This is how it all starts. Picking up a paintbrush for the first time in 20-odd years. This is just slapping some joy on the canvas - self portrait - how it feels to finally express what's in my head, odd as it is. Some of the symbolism is obvious - a kitchen table because I was a traditional wife and Mom, Cheerios because that's all I eat when I'm getting creative, and Animal Crackers, well, they speak for themselves. The "blood" from this birth of an artist is primary colors ready for the paintbrush held in my greedy little hand.
